Dr. Naomi Bryson received an Ed.D. in 1982 and a M.Ed. in Behavioral Psychology in 1978 from Wayne State University. She is the author of The Day Snow Turned Black and Gifted and Talented Students. She was the editor of thirteen cluster/curriculum guides and courses in Technology Education, Career Development, and Employability Skills for the Michigan State Board of Education. She resides in Arizona and enjoys golfing and skiing. She has written numerous guides and training kits for the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Science and Everyday Experiences program and for the National Brotherhood of Skiers.

My seven sisters have different issues that challenge most sane people. These women are hoarders, whiners, backstabbers, liars and emotionally needy. There are useful recommendations, tips, and strategies for personal growth as well as techniques for coping and interacting with them in fun activities. My seven sisters have given me hope that women everywhere will learn to live as sisters, to respect each other’s differences, to heal each other’s wounds, to promote each other’s strengths and weaknesses, and to benefit from each other’s knowledge and experiences. These women are not my sisters by ancestry but sisters of my heart. Sisters of the heart do not need words to communicate with each other. They have developed a language of grins, winces, smiles, and frowns that express surprise or disbelief. We know each others’ faults, virtues, triumphs, and desires and have been bonded together by codes of our hearts.
