“I was well guided through the entire process of book publishing from the start to the finish and the end product was fabulous. I have more books on the way and I can’t wait to start publishing my second book!”
Jesee Kihiko was born in Kenya and grew up in the plains of Lakipia. He studied education at Moi University in Kenya and earned a Master’s degree at Bridgewater state University in USA. He worked as a teacher, a loan officer and a development finance officer with a leading micro finance company in Kenya. While working with Samburu people, he experienced firsthand the never ending conflict between their deeply entrenched cultural practices and modernity. He witnessed brutal domestic conflicts, early and forced marriages, exploitative child labor, crippling illiteracy, widespread poverty and marginalization of women. This book is a fictional chronicle of his efforts to bring about socio-economic transformation to a closed traditional society.

Product description…
Stretch your courage beyond the threshold of fear
A young educated woman from a wealthy family in central Kenya chooses to pursue a path less travelled by the well-educated and wealthy. In pursuit of her endeavors she learns of the hard life experienced by fellow countrymen and chooses to make a difference. However, in a highly ethnically polarized nation like Kenya, it is hardly possible to imagine that salvation can come from an outsider. In this tale of love and hate, apathy and empathy, hard work and determination, we come to accept that it is possible to rise up above the pettiness that divides us as a people.Outskirts Press Review
