Jean started her story three years ago and was encouraged by her friends and family, to have it published. Born in Northern Ireland, Jean loved going to church. She sang in the choir, was part of open-air evangelism, belonged to Christian Endeavor, Girl’s Life Brigade and various youth groups run by the church. She chose nursing as her career and retired in 2009, after 48 years of service. She married Jim, her sweetheart, in 1968. He was a pastor, and together they traveled to England, Canada and then to the USA, wherever they felt the call of God. They miss their children very much and wish they could all live closer together.Rachel and Dexter live in California with their six children. Jonathan and Liz live in North Carolina with their two girls. Jean is proud of the fact that their grandchildren’s fathers both serve their country and are doing their part to keep it safe. Jean and her husband now reside in Duncan, Oklahoma, where Jean hopes to finish the sequel to Bobby.
“I am amazed at the amount of help given to me. I could not ask for a more positive experience. I have been given so many great ideas. I have recommended Outskirts Press to dozens of people. and every e-mail I send, encourages would-be authors to get their work published.”
