The author is a military retiree. He is 86 years old and has experienced each of the issues he describes in his book. He retired from military service in 1975 and started his own business that involved industrially injured workers. Mr. Zamorano was married for 58 years and has two children, five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

America is touted as the greatest country in the world. Yet, while celebrating its birthday, we find ourselves angry, divided, stressed, underpaid, uncertain about the economy, with anarchy in our streets and an unsecure border. Equity! Where have we heard that before? Where is the equity with respect to crime; cost of southern border invasion; inflation; frivolous spending by the government; drugs? This book talks about all of the above with suggestions for solving them.

Have we been too harsh with criminals? Do we release them back into society too quickly? Do we consider the victims? Do we accept responsibility for the illegal migration on our southern border and the costs associated with accepting them? Who ultimately pays for the costs associated with allowing illegal migration? All of those issues are discussed in the book. The author takes a hard look at what we do, why we do it and the consequences that result from direction we take on each issue. The author places responsibility where it should be and not where it goes today. There are no politics associated with suggestions made by the author on each of the issues in this book. He does not hold back with respect to the suggested changes made to the United States Constitution. They are designed to correct the inequities we see in society today. Some of the suggestions may appear too harsh by some of the readers, however, the author challenges any reader to make suggestions that relieve us of the extreme costs of living in this country that are as or more effective than the ones made by the author.
