Outskirts Press Publishing Experience Review From: the lovely Gail Galvan, author of A Nonviable Option

Gail Galvan worked for decades in the nursing profession. Sometimes death and dying were part of the job. This story shares her own personal loss of a loved one, other losses and her struggle to adjust. In her spare time, she has written and self-published many books. Galvan now lives in Valparaiso, Indiana with her beloved cat Geno.

“Overall great experience, very friendly and helpful author representative, fast responses. Love my cover! I must confess I found the editing/correction process more difficult than some other publishers. Overall my editor was extremely helpful and made it a much better book. So thanks, Outskirts Press…My book of gratitude is off to my friends/family…Write-On!”

KEEP CHASING THE SUN. YOU JUST MIGHT CATCH IT!

At one point in this heartfelt story, Gail and her dog, Sissy, are sitting in the back seat of her car in the parking lot of a hospital with a Hospice sign in clear sight. Gail comes up with the idea to head for the drive-in movie, so quality time can continue until it’s time to truly say goodbye. The author shares her tale of loss and survival, then thriving toward the end of enduring some very tough times: loss of good health, her job, home and soon, Sissy. She ends her book with a pep talk, The Best Ten List: Reasons Why Suicide is Not a Good Idea! Galvan contends, we all suffer through tough times, but “Capture, (not merely the pursuit) of life, love and happiness is possible, if and only if, we never give up!” Two fighters, an elderly dog and her lifetime pal, the author, encourage readers to “fight to the last breath.”Outskirts Press Review
