Bob Schaffer, author of Horses, Rifles & Other Loves

“At Outskirts Press, I found dedicated professionals who were technically proficient in their craft, which allowed the production of my book to be published in a timely manner, as promised.. The finished book is easy to read with an eye-catching cover. The after-production support has been great; with a sales sheet, my own website, an e-book version and timely e-mails from the marketing coach. Outskirts Press will definitely produce my next novel.”

It seems Bob Schaffer has been putting words to paper and print most of his life. In the early 1950’s, Bob had a weekly column in his hometown newspaper, The Arlington Herald, in Arlington Heights, Illinois. In 1963, he attended the Defense Department’s Information Officer’s Course on David’s Island off the coast of New Rochelle, New York. Bob began his career in regional trade magazines in the early 1960’s with The Western Builder magazine in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. And later, after his stint in the military, with magazines on our Pacific Coast, like the Pacific Builder & Engineer, Seattle, the Oregon Logger’s Association magazine The Log in Springfield, Oregon, and the California Builder & Engineer in South San Francisco, (now in Palo Alto) Bob now brings his many years of magazine writing experience, and his lifelong desire to create and write fiction, to this – his second Wade Dellums western adventure novel.

The Wade Dellums Adventure Continues!

The Wade Dellums adventure continues when he trails into Northern California pursuing his Winchester rifle sales, his wanderlust and his new love, Darcy Larson. Dellums, the quiet, unassuming cowboy, becomes a man of action when the situation requires; as he travels through California mining towns and camps, charming folks he meets and selling his firearms. Everywhere he trails his help seems to be needed. When he rides out of a town, he leaves folks the better because of his presence. . .and Darcy loves him for it! In this second novel chronicling Dellum’s travels and adventures, the author spins his tale around historical places, events and folks. The result is a intriguing fiction-nonfiction story to be enjoyed by all western fiction readers.Outskirts Press Review
